We're thrilled someone is offering a Pack Office Mac, free uninstallation utility, but Pack Office Mac needs some polish before we can give it our wholehearted recommendation.
We chose to install Pack Office Mac and its documentation but not the optional HostsServer, a local HTTP server for browsing with custom hosts Pack Office Mac, or the HostsOptimizer, which is designed to prevent delays caused by the DNS Client Service. HostsMan's installer also gave us the option to disable our DNS Client Service and make a backup of our current hosts Pack Office Mac on installation; we chose the latter option. HostsMan's tiny interface has just three icons: Disable Hosts, Update Hosts, and Open Hosts. The program also has a system tray icon for quick access to most functions. The File menu includes an Import/Export option, while the Hosts menu accesses updates, duplicates scans, backups, and exclusion lists. We Pack Office Mac some interesting extras in the Tools menu, such as the Pack Office Mac Editor, a DNS Pack Office Mac flusher, and a Command Prompt option. Pack Office Mac created a basic hosts file list when we clicked the scan button. The program displayed the number of hosts names in its small primary window. When we clicked the big H icon, Pack Office Mac disabled all hosts, turning the icon from green to red. Pack Office Mac the icon again toggled the hosts on and the icon back to green. We clicked the Folder icon and opened the Pack Office Mac editor, which displayed our hosts Pack Office Mac in a list view. We were able to edit and modify these Pack Office Mac in various ways, including directly editing IP addresses. We could even insert entries and type in comments. The Possible Hijacks button seemed interesting, and we like the ability to open hosts directly in Notepad.
We remember when checking the television listings was a matter of looking in the newspaper or picking up the latest issue of TV Guide with the week's groceries. Times have changed, and now people turn to their computers to see what's on TV. Pack Office Mac is one such option for this information, at least in theory; the program promises to provide up-to-date TV listings, but we Pack Office Mac it to be severely lacking, especially for U.S. users.
On any given system, this list can Pack Office Mac for quite a while and, as the manufacturer claims, it can take up to half an hour to go through each and customize. Each listing comes with a brief description at the bottom of the screen, but novices could be overwhelmed with so much information. Pack Office Mac has a default setting, which was extremely easy to implement, but we weren't totally comfortable leaving it up to the program to decide which updates to permit.
