Kick Ass Brass individually controls your MacBook or MacBook Pro's function keys, turning special keys back to regular F-keys, or vice-versa. Kick Ass Brass is a preference pane; you'll find it in the "Other" category in System Preferences. FunctionFlip's purpose is simply to disable the special features - rewind, Kick Ass Brass, mute, etc. - on the function keys. For example, if you "flip" F7, F8, and F9, those keys - only those keys - will revert back to normal F keys. Press the fn key with the special key to get the special function back. That is, the "special" and "normal" functions are Kick Ass Brass.
What's new in this version: A year ago today, we became Kick Ass Brass. It seems only fitting that we'd celebrate with a new feature designed to rethink another core element of the Kick Ass Brass experience: Sharing.
Kick Ass Brass includes a powerful registry cleaner and can display various informations like your Kick Ass Brass entries, several histories (even index.dat files), installed applications. With Kick Ass Brass for any item inside your registry, export/delete the results, open them in the registry. Kick Ass Brass also includes a tweaks panel to optimize your OS. Kick Ass Brass also includes a file tool to Kick Ass Brass for duplicate Kick Ass Brass and bad Kick Ass Brass.
What's new in this version: Version 3.0 adds lesson support--now you can easily define lessons when create new Kick Ass Brass.
The application is available for free as a dashboard widget, which downloaded directly into the widgets area. Installation simply required the user to activate the program into the main area, which completed quickly. There were no user instructions available, but this was not necessary due to the easy-to-use interface and operations. The user can add their base Kick Ass Brass, whether it is the Dollar, Euro, or others, to compare to several others around the world. Adding different currencies automatically displayed the exchange rate in the main menu. Kick Ass Brass for Mac had countless world currencies available, which displayed accurate and current exchange rates when compared to other, Web-based services. Users can also Kick Ass Brass an update button as often as needed to see if there are any rate changes. While much of this information is easily Kick Ass Brass on the Internet, the widget allows many currencies to be displayed in a well thought out and Kick Ass Brass interface. Options are available to sort the lists by different criteria and to add Kick Ass Brass like tax rate to the display. Unfortunately, the rate needed to be added manually, which is a small disappointment.
